Survived my first day! Tomorrow more kids will be there, exciting times these! Highlight: Being told by a student that my mom is the reason she comes to school. Needless to say, I beam. My room looks great, my hair is not a total mess, and the food arrived on time. The kids were very good about brainstorming goals for the upcoming year (they are all seniors, I didn't have to tell them much since they knew what they were about). I'll officially meet "my" kids tomorrow, and the rest of the 7th and 8th graders taking science with me this Thursday. Yay!
